Adventure Of A Lifetime

New things always excite me, a hype to feel a possibilty from a stuck situation.  So maybe we could be very busy until we forget how to feel, or maybe thats what we need.  To go on, moving to a better situation.  There is no other way to moving without concern about how we could change and adapt the situation, the situation that we feels no longer contribute to give us comfort, a new situation that giving us a possibility to go for another step.

So lets give it a try.  A try that make us try so hard that we questioned our purpose, being so busy until we feel so tired and asked to ourselves why we do it at a first place.  Ask it, doubt it, and see it with a new loop that maybe you could realize what are the f you doing right now.  To question our existence and the purpose of why we doing it.  To clearing the reason.  To go a little far.  To make an adventure of a lifetime.  A time that would never come back.

At the first time, not really interested in this 'look-like' a psycho movie with sadistic killing.  But after heared a high antusiasm from my friend, watch it at the premiere.  Then really excited about this movie because it could show you a different, fresh story about a hero.  An anti hero that rebelious, have a sarcastic sense of humor, hot girlfriend, hot enemy (who can resist, Francis a.k.a Ed Skrein?).  Even the hero covered with a nasty skill, that can't killed by people because the flesh was already dead, but it can grow later (deny the fact) as a mutant that have no amazing power.  Wade Wilson or Deadpool got injected by a mutant serum that will show the ability after he through some 'underpressure' situation that makes the adrenaline goes high to make the super-skill comes out.

The story start with a daily life of Wide Wilson, an ex killer trained soldier that was an asshole but he is helping another people and make money from it.  Then start a romance with Vanessa Calysle (Monica Baccarin, one of my fav actress from Homeland-Serial) while he finally know that he was get cancer that gonna make his life short.  Under a desperate situation, someone is suddenly comes up and offering a help.  That was make he got more power and skill but at first he was come and being the lab at the rat.  After being desperate to live, he makes it to the all of the experiment but getting sick with the head of the lab, Francis and Angel (Ed Skrein and Gina Carano) and then make a way to get out from the lab.  The effort to get out of the lab cost him a damage to the all of the body and face that Francis was told that he could cure it.  Getting out and meeting Vanessa, makes he have more motivation to find Francis and get a cure for his damaged skin.  After kill everyone that related to Francis, and asking X-Men Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (that lately asking him to joining the x-man and being hero).  Francis finally hear about him and kidnap Vanessa to meet him.

That is the summary of the plot.  But the strongest point on this movie is the satire and cynical jokes that contain at the dialogue from Deadpoll.  He was described about a cynical, realistic and bitter anti-hero that have no compassion to all of his enemies and dont f*** care about the other thing beside his fiancee, Vanessa. Even that he still care and helpful to people (if they paid).

Really entertaining, amusing and fresh!

Got some holiday for chinese new year.  Going to the vcd's store and buy some good movie, then feel so bored at home and going to watch at cinema XXI too.  I need to watch some movie that are not quite boring and make me sleepy. Or at least inspire me to doing something than stuck at the screen. Here's is some of my favorite:

1.  The Boy

Psychological Horror is one of interesting genre that not just scare us with the visual but scare us with the 'possibility' of trauma or situation.  Start the trailer with a story about Greta, orang amerika yang menjadi seorang nanny di rumah yang seperti kastil bangsawan inggris yang dihuni oleh kakek-nenek dengan seorang cucu-nya yang bernama 'Brahms' yang rupanya adalah sebuah boneka.  Greta hampir tidak percaya dan mengolok-olok peraturan-peraturan yang dipesankan kakek-nenek itu sebelum mereka pergi sebelum akhirnya dia mengalami berbagai teror.  Lantas, Greta yang memiliki masa lalu pernah kehilangan seorang anak pun terbit rasa keibuannya ketika merasa bahwa Brahms hanya ingin 'dituruti' kemauannya dalam bentuk peraturan-peraturan yang dipesankan kepadanya.  Adapula Malcolm, lelaki pengantar makanan rumah yang menjadi teman Greta yang akhirnya menolongnya pada saat-saat krusial.

Menyajikan plot yang berbeda dari Anabelle atau The Conjuring dimana horor yang intense film ini sangat cocok untuk penikmat film yang tidak terlalu menyukai film dengan 'full intense'.  Lumayan ringan dan happy ending, its more than enough to watch movie and feel pleasing, amusing and entertaining. Terlepas dari beberapa, kecacatan logika dalam mencerna film ini.  Tapi untuk, penyuka horror yang tidak terlalu buat stres, this film is really recommended. :)

2.  Sherlock : The Abominable Bride

Starring : Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman.

Bisa dibilang versi "The-Movie" nya serial Sherlock di BBC yang sempat vakum (entah kapan dilanjutkan) yang sudah sampai season 2.  Sebagai antitesis (kok-lama-banget-episodenya-keluar-kehabisan-ide-atau-apa) maka ditampilkan kembalilah Benedict Cumberbatch sebagai Sherlock.  Ceritanya berpusat kepada musuh abadi dan terkuat Sherlock, Moriarty.  Dimana untuk mengungkap misteri 'bangkit-dari-kubur'-nya Moriarty, Holmes harus masuk ke 'mind-palace' dimana dia mem-visualisasikan kasus serupa berabad lalu yang belum terpecahkan, yaitu kasus the abominable bride.  Yaitu kasus dimana seorang pengantin wanita yang disaksikan membunuh dirinya sendiri, masuk ke dalam ruang mayat. Kemudian disaksikan membunuh suaminya yang kejam.  Lantas penampakan pengantin ini pun ditemukan kembali membunuh dan meneror orang-orang yang jahat.  Untuk mengungkap kasus Moriarty yang telah disaksikan mati, Holmes harus merasa harus mengungkapkan kasus ini terlebih dahulu.  Kurang memuaskan, jika film ini didefinisikan sebagai "puncak"nya serial Holmes, tapi cukup 'oke' jika sebagai 'sambungan biar fans serial bbc bisa stay calm and keep loving benedict'. Baiklah. 4/5*.  5*!, if they continue the episode! *make it like the NCIS and CSI that got a lot more productive episode :P !

3. The Revenant

Pastinya penasaran dengan akting Leonardo yang setelah lama hanya masuk nominasi, kini memenangkan best actor di Golden Globe Awards.  Berlatar tahun 1823 dimana setting sebagian besar di hutan dan menggambarkan kaum pemburu dan salju dimana-mana.  Awalnya film agak membosankan karena hanya berisi percakapan-percakapan dengan wajah pemain yang hampir semuanya ditutupi janggut dan suku indian yang hampir tidak bisa dibedakan wajahnya karena mirip semua :/ tapi mendadak seru dengan penggambaran survival-nya Leonard atau Glass yang bertahan hidup dari beberapa kejadian yang mengerikan dan harus sendirian ditinggalkan kelompoknya terlebih dikhianati oleh sahabatnya yang kemudian membunuh anak Glass.  Hingga akhirnya Glass berjuang hidup sendirian di tengah salju, kedinginan, hampir dibunuh oleh beruang dan suku indian.  Namun akhirnya perlahan ia mulai pulih dan menuntut balas kepada Fitzgerald, orang yang telah membunuh anaknya.  Dengan landscape yang epic, sungai yang membeku, plot yang hampir membuat bingung jika tidak benar-benar menyimak dan wajah aktor yang hampir tidak terlalu jelas.  tapi visual yang baik dan suara yang bagus.
