siksa kubur (2024)

bukan seperti film horor dengan penampakan hantu hantu, rasanya film siksa kubur lebih ke film humanity-philosophy-religion dengan bungkus misteri. sebagai salah satu penonton setia karya joko anwar, yang apapun filmnya mungkin akan aku tonton saja di bioskop. walaupun sebenarnya kulikan 'riddle' nya sebenarnya masih kurang dalam menurutku. serta clue nya (yang mungkin memang disengaja) kurang jelas, tapi jadi rada berasa nggak konsisten dan kuat. tapi siksa kubur jadi tontonan seru yang bermain main dengan set up beliefs dan penguatan penafsiran cerita. 

sebetulnya dalam menonton film, aku memang lebih suka film-film berat bikin pusing, atau laga action klise gak pake mikir sekalian. jadi memang jarang menonton film horor yang kadang suka dikagetin pake jumpscare. formula jokan menurutku seru banget, slow pace, riddle, multi tafsir dan set up cerita gitu. sebagai penonton awam ngerasa lebih dapat aja 'kebingungan' thriller psikologisnya. 

scene favoritku, adalah menit menit terakhir film dimana mungkin adalah puncak cerita, puncak kesadaran, puncak torture dan kebingungannya. yang digambarkan bam bam. just pure chaos. hha. dimana chaosnya menimbulkan kebingungan baru, apakah realitas yang dialami dan diyakini itu hanyalah delusi atau nyata, di alam kesadaran siapa, dan kapan sebenarnya awal mula realitas itu terdistorsi dengan liar dan menakutkan. tentu, harapannya adalah semua yang kacau itu adalah delusi karena kadang, kenyataan bisa jadi lebih membosankan. 

menurutku, film terbaik adalah yang bisa dinikmati begitu saja tanpa harus terikat rules rules nyata, cukup dirasakan sensasinya, dipikirkan sesekali tentang false beliefs dan sebuah keyakinan kalau semua yang kita yakini itu bisa saja salah. seperti yang kita yakini salah, mungkin bisa jadi benar. siapa yang tahu.

The Innocent (2021)

Film yang cukup menarik karena awalnya aku hanya membaca review yang menarik tentang film ini di twitter, terus tenggelam dalam 8 episode ceritanya. Penceritaan dengan twist dan mengungkap satu persatu layer, seperti bawang. 

Paling suka dengan ceritany Lorena, detektif dengan kompleksitas dan ngotot, dan kesel sama mateus vidal (awalnya) yang kayaknya pasrahan sama clueless banget. hhi. 

Bakal belajar banyak dari film ini tentang mengungkap misteri satu demi satu. Layer per layer dengan elegan *halah. 

Awalnya juga cukup clueless dengan karakter yang rame dan muka muka aktor yang gak familiar. Tapi akhirnya jadi roots for the struggling of the whore to make a living.

Totally film yang buat mikir *dan mengingat ingat cerita cerita sebelumnya.

Money (2019) #WeekendMovie

 

Sebagai orang yang terkesan dengan perannya Ryu Jun Yeol di Reply 1988 dan kesel sama lampu merah- lol, film ini wajiblah ditonton.  Menceritakan tentang kehidupan pialang saham, anak petani blueberry di kampung yang merantau di ibukota, lulus rekrutan karena kemampuannya menghafal nomor dan nilai saham.  Kemudian harus menghadapi kenyataan ketika kerja, tenggelam dalam kegiatan harian sepele dan ternyata menyadari kalau dia jadi orang yang biasa-biasa saja dan tak begitu berprestasi.  Di tengah frustasinya tersebut, Jon Il Hyun dikasihani oleh rekan kerjanya yang mengenalkannya pada seseorang yang dijuluki "Tickets", yang adalah penipu dan pengatur saham misterius yang tujuannya menipu adalah untuk "bersenang-senang" dan tak mau berhenti meskipun telah mendapatkan profit yang tinggi.

Jon Il Hyun, yang menikmati komisi dan uang yang banyak setelah membantu Tickets, akhirnya bisa membeli barang-barang bagus dan membantu usaha orang tuanya di kampung, dan akhirnya dapat mendekati wanita yang ditaksirnya di kantor, kemudian semakin merasa dilematis ketika hal-hal settingan yang dilakukannya untuk mengatur pasar saham mulai memunculkan korban seperti teman kantornya yang dibocorkan foto-foto bersama selingkuhan serta kematian misterius temannya yang ingin mengadukannya ke pengawas keuangan. Pengawas keuangan tersebut yang sudah lama mengintai dirinya, juga sudah berusaha mendekatinya untuk menangkap Tickets tapi ia tidak bergeming.  Akhirnya setelah meyakini bahwa tickets hanya memanfaatkannya, perlahan Jon Il Hyun pun mulai sadar bahwa dirinya hanya pion yang dipermainkan dan akan dibuang jika tidak berguna.

Rasanya plot twist kecil di penghujung film ini juga adalah plot biasa mengenai film serupa, mengingatkan pada film dimana pemeran utamanya adalah conningman. Menarik melihat akting Ryu Jun Yeol, merupakan tipe film yang gak perlu mikir-mikir banget, menyenangkan juga melihat penggambaran pekerjaan pialang saham, terutama karena aku juga baru mengikuti kasus Jouska- dan belajar belajar mengenai saham, menyenangkan menonton film yang mengcapture lifestyle dan lika liku dunia finance, serupa pula dengan kasus-kasus penipuan dan manipulasi market alias saham gorengan yang baru marak ini.

I think this is the best horror movie i ever watch.  The plot is so neat, and continues from the first chapter.  The director could make the episode explain another episode.  So, this film not only make us scare, but also make us think and try to remember.  I think it is the main point when you tell people a story, you must attract the audience so they want to care, so they want to remember the character if they want to know the whole story.

The actor and actress play nicely, but i really like Danielle Bisutti (Mother of Parker Crane) because i think she remind me of Susanna (Indonesian horror actress), with scary big eyes, old fashion and stiff gesture. 

Well, done.  For this movie, i will rate 4 from 5. (Because its never 5 or perfect movie).

Seriously, being off from my campus and any worth activity is not something i can handle, not because i can't doing anything but i just broke because my saving is not enough to support my needs (and wants) of course.  How come? I just still cant adapt to a blank schedule.

I think this is the best movies for this weekend, the plot is so neat and unread. Stunning! Its a perfect combination from strategic thinker and the visual-actions and fights. Plus, the information about the magician history, and more local myths are blended nicely.  I like the concept where people know what they do, passion about it and have a little revenge' things. People who willing to give everything to get anything. I glad that i'm not watching this on the xxi cinema because i would like to rewatch it again! :)

No matter what happen, i will always love Bruce Willis! but i think this movie makes me a little boring, beside the dad-son relationship and sexy russians i think the enemy was made too rush. After all, the damaged set is always amaze me, crushed car everywhere, chaos street, tank, helicopter just a pleasure to my eyes.

Of course like what i predict before i watch it alone at XXI in the middle of the night this is another twilight, but a little... darker? same great point to selling the handsome and pretty face plus a personality style but still, chessy romaticsm sometimes just makes me sick! (no offense to romance but its just too... much...) Quite entertaining, and for the next sequel, i'll choose to watch it at home.

My favourite Indonesian writer : Dewi Lestari. I cant tell how much i love her writing especially at Supernova. I think her writing just have many contribution to my personality now. *halah. The movie is combine five story that have one idea, one conclusion : an unsaid love. Smart, because of course all of us will feel connected with this movie because all of us maybe have an unsaid love.  The dialogue is poetic, fit but theres some line that just feel too much unrational to said if we are in the real world, btw.  Covered by the excitement of this unusual indonesian movie, because of course they dont expose a physical romantic things, just a description with body language or words. And i think if my story would fit in this movie it could be: Hanya Isyarat.

I think Raditya Dika is good, because he can make people laugh, without him laughing. And i think beside the jokes, its romantic movie, just with predictable ending. The naration just somehow exact, that people will come and go, and he may sure that love have expire date, but its okay, and the most important thing is what you feel now. 

I'm a movie freak, but i choose my movie, i usually dont watch horror movie (last movie i watched : orphan, awakening, insidious, the conjuring). My favourite is action movie and any movie that can makes me thinks more, deep, with good plot and set. I usually avoid too much romanticsm because somehow it makes me feel victim, cause its sounds useless (If it too much).  But of course as an open minded person if i read a good recommendation i will watch it too! Have a great day!

The film start from the idea of indigo child, that usually indicated to autism.  In this movie, the child is also can read the 'red thread' that was the myth.  The myth said that somewhere the red thread is exist, control us, then sometimes it could be loose or tight, but never breaks.  Its amazing how this idea that developed in this story goes, how small things could make other many versions of probability could happen.  How little things in your life could effect so many more after.  I could shed tears while i watching, not because of romantic plot , but really touch.  How things could be beautiful because of little things at fate's play.  It inspire me to make another though of why i exist in this world, what kind of purpose, what i suppose to be or to do? Does what happen to me now, is my choice? or is it the better for me or i can have another chance to get all things right?
For now, i think i still have a big hole in my heart, sometimes i think i losing something, something unfinish, sometimes i just need a closure at what i desire.  But this is life, the process you are going through.  At the end its not the end of our life, we know all of us will facing death, its the process, its the journey you will going through.  New people, new idea, new perception, new situation that may happening to you when you are not ready yet to release your past.  I feel it.  How i still adhere to my past and how it left the hole in my heart.  Is this the best chance to happen to me or is this the purpose why i life for now? To fill the empty hole with so many things, peoples, dreams and many more? I still dont know yet.  But i really want to believe it could turn to great things.  Or may i need some luck to keep my insanity to through this life.  Anyway, i really loveee this series, make me keep open mind and think to believe in fate because it may bring us to the right place even now we feel the different.  Can't wait to see next episodes !!! :)

Movie Time

One of a heartbreaking movie i watch.  A love story about Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew.  They are friends, start meet when they'r at school, then always meeting at 15th July for twenty years.  Emma Morley, is not-too-attractive girl, smart but not to success after her graduation and start a simple life with working.  Then Dexter, whose a reckless, flirtilicious and attractive man enjoy his life as a tv presenter.  They are always keep in touch, talk and spend a day like a good friend, sharing about their dreams and problems.  I think this is romantic when Emma, realize that she had a crush on Dexter and every second at her life is enlighten by Dexter.  But she know, that Dexter is not really into her, so she try to be a best friend for Dexter.  After twenty years passed, she still can't move on and totally can't erase Dexter on her mind.

Finally, after a dissapointed realtionship, a failed marriage of Dexter and Sylvia.  They finally found their way.

Then they are married, and try to have a baby and still fail.  And at an afternoon Dexter and Emma make an appointment to a coffee shop and on the way Emam got an accident and dies.  Dexter's life be more sad and depressed after her dies.  Then he haunt by Emma's presence since twenty years ago in his life.  An advice from his dad is just keep living, pretend that Emma still life around him, just like his father pretend that his wife, who died because of cancer ten years ago and keep living, then Dexter start to cry.  And the movie just show the moment Dexter can remember with Emma, a nice afternoon at the beautiful backyard.

Dexter: Look, I've gotta go.

Emma: I know.

Dexter: But we will see each other again.

Emma: I know we will.

[smiling she turns to walk away]

Emma: Goodbye, Dex.

Dexter: Goodbye.

Emma: Goodbye.

[he watches her as she walks away and then turns to walk the opposite way]

This is the heart-breaking movie.  Sad, because of Emma just lit up with Dexter and still can't move on from her feeling for twenty years, really need a good luck to finally have a way to come back, and find that Dexter feel the same way.  Touched.  And Sad.  The moral of the story is, never let people you love go.  Because, you just dont know how far fate will bring you go.  A mysterious way of being separated.  You will never know.  Being grateful for what you have now.  Not ignoring each other, and life best for all the moment you have...

Fast Five !  I just watched this movie and ... wow. It just like wow... I always love action movies plus sexy woman-in-action.  I'm crazy about a woman's figure whose bad, thin but also smart ! LOL. Like i love Elektra, Kill Bill, I am number four, for all woman-in-action, especially spy, or gangster but doing action not at murder scene but like driving a really fast car or shot a gun or even a kungfu without blood.

In my boring time, one of my hobby to killing time at the dormitory is watching DVD !!! Through dvd, i can open my eyes, there is still another life beside my life now. I can see many things without go there or feel another situation that could life gift us. Because at life, we can't know what will be it present to us. We just can sit here and waiting, what else? we wait and prepare ourselves and do best. So we can have a good preparation even never can be one hundred percent. Like my favourite quotations, Victory Loves Preparation... :)

Last movie i watched is WE ARE FAMILY, india movie that touching heart. Tell us about the broken-home family and the daddy who already have another woman to married, kareena kapoor who are an ambitious career woman try to adapt her life with her boyfriend. Quite romantic, especially when Aman and Kareena looks like fall in love to each other. Hmm. Looks a little bit like me! The messages of the story is if you believe in love, you should always believe to your love and make it last forever for all of your life. The precious moment is when you are around people who you loved and loved you back bigger. Love for everyone !!!

#2 Movie

The second movie i watched is WEDDING DRESS... Don't ask me. Drama korea movies always makes me cry and makes me feels so guilty and sad about my life. The story was epic, i give all my finger for the actrees's act !!! The little kids are so cute and adorable, and the story is close to our life. About a very busy woman that become a mother and not make her daughter as a priority, until her life is changed when she realized that she is sick and not life for a long time anymore... The messages at this story is you just life once, never spent it to something you would regret. Be grateful for every moment you spent with your family, your mom, daddy, children, friends, you will never know when you will lose them. And when you lose them you will never regret that you are already give your best attitude and spent your best moment with them. So, just think more wiser and more realize that every moment should be gratefull.
