The Old Guard (2020) #weekendmovie

So i have some time after my trial to refresh and relaxing, watching a movie that also recommended by people on twitter. The main lead is Charlize Theron, that looks super cool with the outfit and old school hammer.  The movie was based from comic The Old Guard by Greg Ruca, then directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood on Netflix.

Charlize Theron act as Andromache "Andy", have a superpower that can heal after getting shot, maybe kinda like Wolverine things that can degenerate and healing wound. And then in this world, they can find the other people with their same ability by getting into the dream.  Andy find Booker, Joe and Nicky. Just 4 of them.  Then they have a mission from the former operative CIA, Copley that hire them to rescue kidnapped children but its only a trap to get them and make them as a sample to make some research about how to regenerate human cell and how to be immortal like them.

I kinda find the movie a lil bit boring in the middle but interesting at the idea of the main character, Andromache, have an old friend that drawned into the ocean then have a possibility to have a sequel or something like that. I think the most interesting part of the movie is Charlize Theron and the action sequences.

Another interesting part is the desperate and frustration that feels by the 'soldier' because they start to question their existence and why the power could just disappeared without they knowing, then they try to find their reason to be alive or burdened by the immortality, try to find some more meaning in their live, feel how it could be so hurt and endless pain they will feel in the future.  Cause time will heal every pain, and they fear cause they live long enough and then forget who they are cause they barely can forget.

This movie kinda amused me because I miss watching superheroes and action movie.  But still waiting for Second Season of The Boys, Fifth Season of Lucifer Fifth and Second Season of The Umbrella Academy.
